Job Overview

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring that all processes align with the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage maintenance processes specific to VeLOCity to meet the facilities' operational goals.
  • Participate actively in daily direction-setting meetings and oversee the execution of maintenance plans.
  • Oversee the Preventive Maintenance (PM) Systems for Line 1, focusing on planning and scheduling.
  • Lead the Breakdown Elimination Daily Management System for Line 1.
  • Manage workstreams related to defect handling systems and tools for Line 1.
  • Support the development and lead segments of the 90-day loss elimination strategies.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to Team Leaders and Team Members during direction-setting meetings.
  • Assist in developing Root Cause Analysis capabilities to mitigate both chronic and sporadic line stoppages.
  • Drive improvements in Planned & Unplanned Downtime, emphasizing line costs, percentage of planned maintenance, completion rates of PMs, and reduction of breakdowns.
  • Enhance the skills of line operators by serving as a technical resource and mentor.
  • Design, implement, and maintain systems for data collection and analysis regarding critical product and process parameters, utilizing this data to identify equipment losses.
  • Collaborate with plant and line management to prioritize improvement initiatives.
  • Work to eliminate or reduce prioritized losses through process or system modifications.
  • Engage in the daily direction-setting process, reporting results, seizing opportunities, and requesting resources as necessary.
  • Utilize Reliability Engineering tools to facilitate center-lining and loss elimination for Line 1.
  • Share and apply learnings across various processes, modules, and facilities.
  • Engage in personal development through corporate and external training opportunities.
  • Participate in planned maintenance stops and RCOs as required.
  • Provide consistent on-the-floor coaching, being available to support operators in enhancing their capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Three to five years of progressive maintenance experience in a relevant industry.
  • One to two years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English, both verbal and written. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English. Capable of reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong presentation skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Competent in basic arithmetic operations and able to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions in multiple formats.
  • Computer Skills: Familiarity with manufacturing software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and secure necessary resources to achieve daily objectives.
