Position: Service Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Service Technician, preferably with Journeyman or Red Seal certification. Ideal candidates will have experience with truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment, including aerial devices, digger derricks, and cranes, as well as related machinery from construction, mining, or agricultural sectors.

  • Our branch specializes in utility equipment such as buckets, diggers, and hi-rail trucks.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM, with potential for overtime.
  • A valid driver's license and personal mechanics tools are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
  • Diagnose, assess, and repair or replace damaged or worn parts on various vocational and utility trucks and equipment.
  • Provide maintenance and repair services for medium and heavy-duty trucks, with a focus on hydraulics and electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts, services, and labor to ensure cost tracking and pricing reflect the quality of service.
  • Submit work orders for supervisor approval to manage budgets and accurately reflect repair costs.
  • Adhere to best practices for maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, provincial equivalency, or GED.
  • Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Personal tools are necessary for the role.
  • Physical capability to handle tools and equipment, including frequent bending, stooping, and a high level of dexterity.
