Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Canada Coach Lines (Group) Ltd. as an Equipment Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnose issues using testing equipment, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Order parts and maintain inventory levels to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation, including test results and repair history.
  • Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Quality Control: Verify and repair emission control systems, and ensure all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with process and machine operators to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Certifications: Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate and Diesel engine repair specialization.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Environment: Willing to relocate and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
