Position Overview

The Clinical Laboratory Specialist is accountable for executing all responsibilities within the Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine sectors.

Qualifications

Halton Healthcare seeks to recruit professionals who demonstrate proficiency in their field and embody our core values of accountability, respect, and compassion that guide our conduct.

  • Valid registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
  • Recent professional experience of 3 - 5 years in a core laboratory setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine.
  • Proficient with standard automated laboratory equipment.
  • Willingness to provide coverage at multiple sites as required.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously during off-peak hours.
  • Possess a positive demeanor with outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Must meet the physical demands associated with the role.
  • Demonstrated satisfactory employment and attendance history.
Additional Information

Work Schedule: Flexible shifts including Days, Evenings, and Nights.

Compensation: $46.32 per hour
