Director of Equity and Community Supports

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Equity and Community Supports. This is a critical role that will play a key part in advancing our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) at The University of King's College.
About the RoleThe Director of Equity and Community Supports will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of EDI initiatives and strategies across the university. This will include working closely with senior leadership, faculty, staff, and students to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement EDI strategies and initiatives that align with the university's EDI goals and objectives
- Provide leadership and support to faculty, staff, and students on EDI-related issues and initiatives
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures related to EDI
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to advance EDI initiatives
- Provide training and education on EDI-related topics to faculty, staff, and students
- Monitor and report on EDI metrics and progress towards goals
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as education, social justice, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in higher education
- Experience in developing and implementing EDI strategies and initiatives
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in policy development and implementation
- Knowledge of EDI principles and practices, including intersectionality and systemic oppression
