Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in the Operations department. As a 310T Licensed Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing service to our plant locations and ensuring the maintenance and repair of our mixer trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lubrication and Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine lubrication and preventative maintenance tasks on mixer trucks and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Equipment Inspection and Repair: Inspect and diagnose problems with machines and heavy equipment, and perform repairs to company standards.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.
  • Power Train Component Repairs: Diagnose and repair power train components, including hydraulic systems, suspension, and steering systems.
  • Housekeeping and Work Orders: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, and complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, and a valid 310T Ontario (Truck and Coach Mechanic) License.
  • Experience: 2 years of journeyman level mechanic experience preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Must have complete knowledge of truck air brake systems, and the ability to diagnose and repair problems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems is also required.
