About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing a portfolio of large US corporates and subsidiaries of non-US groups in diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive credit analyses, reviewing legal documentation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring under the supervision of a Director - Senior Credit Analyst.
  • Assess credit quality, recommend appropriate credit limits, terms, and conditions, including financial statements analysis, review of client strategy, business risk, industry dynamics, and competitive environment.
  • Prepare financial projections, determine debt repayment capability, and ensure compliance with SGUS Credit Policies.
  • Propose and update Obligor Risk Ratings, monitor compliance with covenants, and review relevant legal documentation.
  • Liaise with other CPM teams, business lines, Bankers, legal & compliance, operations, and Risk department.
Requirements
  • Strong financial analytical skills, ability to assess credit terms and conditions, and strong understanding of commercial and investment banking products.
  • Ability to work in a team, interact with teams located in other locations, and strong writing skills, particularly assessing and summarizing financial transactions.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, legal, and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors, ability to investigate/research/synthesize data, and analyze and evaluate counterparty risk and financial condition.
  • Proficiency using Word for written analysis and Excel for spreadsheet analysis, knowledge of capital markets/traded products, and committed financing facilities.
  • 8-10 years as credit analyst in a corporate and investment banking entity or related field, and Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Language

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
