Emergency Department Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Sault Area Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the provision of patient care in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
- Utilize the Standards of Nursing Practice and the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide health education to patients and families.
- Assist in planning corrective actions to ensure patient and staff safety, and comply with legislation, organizational, and departmental regulations, standards, and procedures related to occupational health and safety.
- Certificate of competency in Ontario.
- Current ACLS competency within the last two years.
- Current PALS competency within the last two years.
- 1 year of Emergency nursing experience or 3 years of nursing experience.
- Demonstrated competencies related to IV Therapy.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office software.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the management of patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education within the past two years, with an emphasis on courses/conferences related to Emergency nursing.
- Knowledgeable in the utilization and care of mechanical equipment required for patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain successful working relationships and interact with people in a pleasant, professional, responsible, and reassuring manner.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work independently as well as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated behavior consistent with the Hospital's Mission, Vision, Values, and iCcare Way.
