Position Overview

The Project Controller plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective execution of project controls, which encompasses planning and scheduling, cost estimation, financial oversight, change management, progress assessment, reporting, and project accounting. This position is designed to provide both technical and managerial assistance to the field construction operations team utilizing a progress monitoring tool.

Employees are expected to uphold a "culture of safety", embodying and promoting Strike's Code of Conduct and Values, while maintaining professionalism and treating all individuals with dignity, respect, and fairness.

Key Details

  • Work hours: 40-50 hours per week
  • Location: Office-based position

Core Responsibilities

  • Generate detailed reports in Excel for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Offer technical assistance for various in-house tracking and scheduling software
  • Support the development and ongoing updates of the project schedule, ensuring all stakeholders are informed
  • Regularly assess project progress, including the application of earned value management techniques
  • Facilitate the cost management process, including budget formulation and chart of accounts development
  • Review and verify production quantities and invoices
  • Assist in change management processes, including proposal creation and field support
  • Continuously enhance project administrative processes and procedures to improve efficiency, while monitoring practices and innovating for improvements
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Project Controls
  • Familiarity with engineering and construction-related cost and scheduling systems (including productivity, performance measurement, progress tracking, and change management)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential; organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required; advanced expertise in MS Excel is necessary
  • Able to respond effectively to project stakeholder inquiries and understand client needs, providing assistance and advice on standard practical issues
