Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Metal Fabrication Assistant to support our operations at Edvan Custom Metal Processing Ltd. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal education required
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role
Work Environment
  • Conditions: Dusty and noisy surroundings
  • Setting: Involves working in a platework fabrication plant, sheet metal shop, and heavy machinery manufacturing facility
Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize metal cleaning machinery to eliminate excess welds, rust, and other contaminants from metal surfaces
  • Employ hand tools to grind or chip away surplus metal from products
  • Buff and grind seams, joints, and rough areas to ensure quality finishes
Equipment Experience
  • Familiarity with powered grinding machines is preferred
Transportation Requirements
  • Must have personal transportation and a reliable vehicle
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and engage in physically demanding work
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads
  • Prepared to manage a large workload
Weight Handling
  • Must be able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
