Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator - Metal to join our team at Weldwork Fabricators Ltd. o/a Weldwork Fabricators. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for laying out reference points and patterns, planning the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently, and assembling and fitting plates and sections to form structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate cutting and assembly of metal components.
  • Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, using welding or bolting techniques as required.
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines to cut, shape, and finish metal components.
  • Construct patterns and templates to ensure accurate fabrication of complex metal components.
  • Install fabricated components in final products, ensuring precise fit and finish.
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in metal fabrication.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
