Your Opportunity

Our Winnipeg office is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the SR&ED and Government Incentives team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  1. Leading and supporting SR&ED client engagements in the manufacturing, natural resources, and clean technology/environmental industries, while collaborating with BDO SR&ED industry teams across the country.
  2. Building and maintaining relationships with clients, becoming a trusted and influential advisor, and providing exceptional customer service to the firm's clients.
  3. Examining client operations and processes to determine eligibility for various grants, tax credits, and funding programs, and developing the appropriate funding methodology to maximize tax incentives available to each client.
  4. Effectively communicating with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
  5. Providing clients with professional and timely advice related to documentation and its compliance with SR&ED program requirements.
  6. Gathering internal and external client resources utilization and assisting with costing activities corresponding with technical descriptions.
  7. Assisting and guiding clients during technical reviews with the CRA.

Your Background

We're looking for a professional with:

  1. A University degree and/or strong technical expertise in a specific field of science and engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., or PhD).
  2. At least 2 years of SR&ED experience.
  3. Excellent technical writing skills and strong editorial capabilities.
  4. A strong track record of teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
  5. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
