Senior Manager, Consulting Expert

At ENGINEERINGUK, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Consulting Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Consulting – Economics team, you'll play a crucial role in providing leading-edge analysis and research services to support evidence-based decision making for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal, planning, and delivery of Agriculture research projects, including economic impact studies, cost-benefit studies, and market studies for clients in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.
  • Develop innovative methodologies and models for undertaking economic analysis, adhering to best practices.
  • Manage engagement planning, scheduling, and project financials, including budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, and variance recognition.
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients, ensuring their needs are met and relationships grow and develop.
  • Review, design, and develop high-quality deliverables, including reports, presentations, and other correspondence.
  • Maintain high-quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues or key risks relevant to the client's business.
  • Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities, and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs.
  • Mentor, motivate, and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning related to client and practice management, as well as the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Agricultural Economics.
  • CMC, PMP, or other related certifications are considered an asset.
  • 10+ years of consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative economic methods and data analysis.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstration of advanced project management skills and tactics.
  • Proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Established network within the Canadian agricultural community.
