IT Business Analyst

Spark Power Corp, a reliable partner in the energy sector across North America, is seeking an IT Business Analyst to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is pivotal in collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to provide high-quality, scalable solutions in software applications and business processes within the organization. The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams to optimize applications and processes that align with Spark Power's strategic goals. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities of the IT Business Analyst:

Lead the gathering and translation of business needs into comprehensive system and technical specifications. Oversee the progress of small to medium-sized projects. Contribute to the overall design necessary for application improvements. Build and maintain relationships across the organization; regularly collaborate with different departments and operational teams to create value and ensure transparency. Serve as a key resource throughout various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Life Cycle. Maintain objectivity in work to ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives. Assist in resolving assigned tickets and application-related issues promptly. Escalate any issues and concerns to IT management and/or business process owners as necessary. Make informed, data-driven decisions and recommendations. Develop and maintain necessary documentation.

Desired Qualifications:

University or postgraduate degree in a business or STEM field. Additional certifications indicating a commitment to ongoing education are advantageous. At least 5 years of experience in an Implementation consulting or Business Analyst role. Proven ability to effectively understand and refine business requirements. Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud ERP, JDE, or SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable. Strong understanding of change management principles is a significant asset. Experience delivering business solutions in an agile environment is beneficial. Proficient in analyzing data, queries, and reports to support root cause analysis of reported issues. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality outcomes. Ability to manage deliverables across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, accountability, and a desire to learn. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Visio, and Wireframing Tools.
