Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to take on the role of Wellness Program Supervisor at the Shishalh Nation Child & Youth Wellness Centre. In this position, you will oversee the delivery of culturally appropriate, trauma-informed service coordination, while providing guidance and administration for our front-line personnel. Your responsibilities will include managing services, coordinating integrated initiatives, and engaging with youth, families, and community partners. This role is essential in fostering wellness and recreational opportunities aligned with our organization's mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute after-school programs, youth drop-in sessions, camps, and special events tailored for youth aged 5-18.
  • Coordinate initiatives such as the Summer Fun Program by identifying locations and organizing activities.
  • Manage communication regarding events and programs through various channels.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of departmental personnel.
  • Assist staff in resolving issues and operational challenges.
  • Assess program effectiveness and report on outcomes.
  • Lead, inspire, and evaluate the performance of staff members.
  • Undertake additional relevant tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in program management and staff oversight.
  • Familiarity and experience with indigenous wellness initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new software tools.
  • Effective communication skills with a diverse clientele.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
