Social Worker II - Veteran Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker II to join our dedicated team of mental health professionals. In this role, you will provide direct support, therapeutic interventions, education, and counseling to veterans, couples, and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments to understand the unique needs of each individual.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with interprofessional teams.
  • Provide evidence-based therapies for PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, and substance misuse.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions at various locations, addressing a range of mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate effectively with community agencies and service providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Engage in academic activities, including teaching, supervision, and participation in professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to all relevant ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize tele-mental health technologies to provide services to individuals in outlying communities.
  • Contribute to program evaluation and satisfaction surveys to enhance service quality.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Social Worker providing mental health services, preferably within a veteran population.
  • Extensive training and expertise in evidence-based therapies, such as PE, CPT, EMDR, CBT, BA, and MBSR.
  • Strong understanding of mental health best practices, community resources, and crisis response protocols.
  • Proven experience working within an interprofessional service delivery model.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
