About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at pt Health, a leading provider of healthcare services in Canada. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in the assessment and treatment of adults with complex musculoskeletal, neurological, and mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the client's needs and goals.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions to promote client independence and functional ability.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Participate in case conferences and case management to ensure optimal client outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Solid experience in the assessment and treatment of adults with complex musculoskeletal, neurological (mTBI), and mental health conditions.
  • Experience in Occupational and Veterans Rehabilitation and Mental Health is a significant asset.
  • Ability to be self-directed and autonomous, working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage self-scheduling and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development.
  • Excellent oral, written and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and new technology.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Must have own vehicle, and a valid Driver's license is required.

  • Creating and implementing holistic, individualized treatment plans based on critical analysis and clinical reasoning.
  • Managing caseload in a fast-paced multidisciplinary work environment.
  • Participating in case conferences and case management.
  • Collaborating with the inter-professional team, various stakeholders and other Occupational Therapists.
  • Preceptorship/co-preceptorship of Occupational Therapy students.
