Under the supervision of the department Manager, the Workshop Support Associate is tasked with various upkeep and maintenance responsibilities including shop cleaning, tool organization, floor sweeping, waste disposal, and additional duties as necessary. This role is recognized as a safety-sensitive position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness in the workshop and yard, ensuring that floors, restrooms, break areas, and wash bays are tidy.
  • Organize and store parts and tools in designated locations.
  • Handle laundry tasks and ensure that cleaned items are returned to their proper places.
  • Conduct general maintenance on shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Move supplies and equipment between storage and work areas manually or using a hand truck.
  • Assist in cleaning and servicing equipment as needed.
  • Support operations in the bulk plant when necessary.
  • Engage in general assembly tasks, which may involve operating automated machinery and various hand/power tools.
  • Acquire knowledge of Magnum's equipment and its components related to the cementing of oil and gas wells.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license (non-graduated) with a clean driving record.
  • Physical capability to lift/move heavy items up to 23 kg, and to bend, stand, and climb repeatedly for extended durations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a workshop environment.
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining automated machinery, as well as hand and power tools.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Strong work ethic, positive demeanor, reliability, and dependability.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Understanding of safety protocols.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on customer service.
  • Demonstrated initiative and results-driven approach.

Asset Qualifications:

  • Interest in obtaining a Class 1 (Canada) / Class A CDL (U.S.) and working in oil and gas field operations.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
