**Job Summary:**

The successful applicant will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of truck and trailer combinations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on heavy equipment.
  • Perform preventative, planned, and unplanned maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot, and test mechanical and electronic equipment according to company standards.
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation as required.
  • Work in a shop setting when not in the field.
  • Participate as a vital team member, contributing towards the success of the organization, which may involve participation in other areas of technical and field support, as required.
  • Perform duties in a safe, timely, and cost-efficient manner.
  • Other duties as required.

**Requirements:**

  • Alberta HET (Heavy Equipment Technician) certification or minimum 4th year apprentice or out-of-province HET certification with Interprovincial Red Seal.
  • Your own tools.
  • Basic welding knowledge and skills (welding certification is an asset).
  • Minimum Class 5 license with clean abstract (valid Class 1 License is an asset).
  • Licensed CVIP certification or willing to apply.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime and weekend work during the construction season (May-November).
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be in good physical shape in order to work in physically demanding conditions.
