Job Overview:

Arterra Wines Canada is a leading producer and marketer of award-winning wines. As a Winery Associate, you will provide exceptional customer service and contribute to the success of our business by delivering outstanding hospitality to visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with wine tastings and purchases
  • Conduct engaging and informative tours of the winery, including structured tastings for tour groups
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service
  • Operate a computerized point-of-sale system and perform opening and closing duties
  • Support special events and provide dinner service in formal and informal settings
  • Represent the winery at off-site events
  • Restock wine and giftware
  • Perform general housekeeping duties

Requirements:

  • Smart Serve Certification
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Motivation to exceed sales targets
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Responsibility and trustworthiness
  • Ambition and goal-oriented
  • Retail experience is essential
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Previous serving experience is an asset
  • Fluency in French, Chinese, Korean, or Japanese is considered an asset
  • Wine knowledge is an asset, but not required as training is provided
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
