About the Role

First Student Canada-Transco is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their well-being and safety throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students on board, providing assistance as needed.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain the bus's condition and ensure it is roadworthy.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a smooth and efficient transportation experience.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license for at least 2 years.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to undergo and pass a Ministry-prescribed medical examination and background checks.

What We Offer

  • A competitive starting wage of $22.75-$24.75 per hour, depending on experience.
  • No experience necessary - we provide training.
  • 4 hours guaranteed per day.
  • Additional hours available through charter route opportunities.
  • No nights or weekends.
