We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to join our team at the Catholic Independent Schools of Vancouver Archdiocese. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students safely and efficiently to and from school, as well as on field trips and other educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive a bus to transport students to and from school, as well as on field trips and other educational activities
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and mechanical integrity
- Explain safety procedures to students and ensure they follow school district and departmental regulations
- Maintain order and discipline among students during transport and at bus stops
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks on the bus
- Report any incidents or accidents to the Transportation Supervisor
- Complete basic records and reports related to inspections and student behavior
- Secondary school graduation
- Valid B.C. Class 2 driver's license with a safe driving record
- Thorough knowledge of safe driving practices and safety precautions
- Sufficient physical strength to lift materials and equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Previous experience driving large multi-passenger vehicles
- Previous experience working with groups of children
