Documentation Specialist

The Documentation Technician plays a crucial role in the acquisition, processing, and management of information resources at LCI Education. This position involves applying and collaborating on updating policies, regulations, and procedures, as well as enforcing the regulations of the Documentation Centre.
Key Responsibilities:- Enter data into integrated library management software (PortFolio) for monographs, periodicals, and electronic resources.
- Perform cataloguing (RDA), indexing (RVM), and classification (Dewey) of new acquisitions and corresponding descriptive records.
- Prepare documents in all formats, including stamping, anti-theft system, marking, barcode affixing, and lamination.
- Select and acquire documents, assessing relevance and costs, conducting bibliographic checks, choosing suppliers, and renewing subscriptions.
- Manage the budget, checking, collaborating, and monitoring account statements.
- Enhance collections and services.
- Participate in various projects of the Documentation Centre.
- Create and maintain guides, procedures, and reference documents for administrative staff.
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in Documentation Techniques or equivalent.
- Relevant experience, preferably in education.
- Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT).
