About Our OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Central Regional Coordinator to oversee Protected Areas Programs in the Central Region. The successful candidate will provide leadership and coordination to the management of protected wilderness areas and nature reserves.
Primary Accountabilities- Develop and implement stakeholder and public partnerships and consultations
- Conduct science-based field assessments and evaluations
- Compile public communication materials and prepare reports and planning documents
- Negotiate and oversee various land use agreements and licenses
- Identify and coordinate area management priorities, including scientific research, economic development, site monitoring, and enforcement
A Bachelor's degree in a related area of concentration, such as protected areas management, environmental planning, conservation biology, outdoor recreation, land management, or forestry, is required. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in a related field, such as land conservation or management, land use planning, or protected areas planning.
