The Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary is seeking applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor specializing in K-12 Educational Leadership. This role emphasizes research, professional practice, and teaching in the domain of school leadership.
We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate expertise in areas such as:
- Leadership dynamics among school administrators;
- Systemic approaches and competencies of educational leaders;
- Strategic management and addressing contemporary challenges;
- Experience in K-12 leadership and contributions to leadership theory and school enhancement.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A doctoral degree in Education or a closely related field;
- A well-established research agenda in school leadership, with a track record of securing research funding appropriate to their rank;
- Proven teaching experience in school administration, governance, or strategic planning at both undergraduate and graduate levels;
- Active engagement with professional communities at local, national, and international levels.
