About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Elevator Mechanic to join our team at Abco Elevator Inc. As an Elevator Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electric and electronic control system devices, as well as instructing apprentices and performing preventative maintenance programs to ensure public safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and wire electric and electronic control system devices
  • Instruct apprentices in elevator maintenance and repair techniques
  • Perform preventative maintenance programs to ensure public safety
  • Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures
  • Maintain log books that detail all repairs and checks performed
  • Perform safety and security checks
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in elevator maintenance and repair
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
