Elevator Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Elevator Mechanic to join our team at Abco Elevator Inc. As an Elevator Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators and other related equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Install and wire electric and electronic control system devices, ensuring that all equipment is properly installed and functioning correctly.
- Training and Development: Instruct apprentices in the proper techniques and procedures for elevator maintenance and repair.
- Quality Control: Test and adjust safety control devices to ensure that they are functioning correctly and safely.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Record Keeping: Maintain log books that detail all repairs and checks performed, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Security and Safety: Perform safety and security checks to ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and safely.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 5 years or more of experience in elevator maintenance and repair.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Work Conditions: Overtime required, with a 32-hour workweek.
