Elevator Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Elevator Mechanic to join our team at Abco Elevator Inc. As an Elevator Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevator systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install and wire electric and electronic control system devices
- Instruct apprentices in the art of elevator maintenance and repair
- Test and adjust safety control devices to ensure optimal performance
- Disassemble and repair defective elevator units
- Perform preventative maintenance programs to ensure public safety
- Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical system failures
- Maintain detailed log books of all repairs and checks performed
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 5 years or more of experience in elevator maintenance and repair
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
- Pension plan
- Steel-toed safety boots
