As a pivotal member of our team at CIMA+, the Construction Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the execution of mechanical and electrical building initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in engineering disciplines (civil, structural, electrical, or mechanical) and demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities. This role offers an opportunity for substantial growth and learning within the construction industry, while working alongside professionals from various fields.
We provide a flexible hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to balance remote work with time spent in our modern office facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple projects involving various stakeholders across residential, commercial, institutional, and healthcare sectors;
- Oversee project execution and ensure effective initiation;
- Draft and disseminate change directives;
- Track site progress, identify delays or issues, and communicate with the project manager;
- Make immediate decisions during site coordination meetings or propose solutions as needed;
- Collect and follow up on data related to site directives;
- Participate in site meetings and conduct site inspections;
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and provide technical assistance.
- Degree in building mechanics or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
- A minimum of 4 years in site supervision, or 6 years of relevant experience in construction related to electricity, tinsmithing, control, or plumbing/pipefitting.
- Completion of the ASP Construction course is an asset
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Demonstrated experience in building mechanics or electrical systems, with strong site management skills and a solid grasp of technical methods
- Fluency in both spoken and written French
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
