Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to join our team at EllisDon. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing overall construction management from pre-construction to completion, including design, coordination, budget, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion, including design, coordination, budget, and schedule.
  • Prepare regular, timely, and accurate billings for owners and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
  • Meet with owners and architects in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company.
  • Monitor, interpret, and forecast a project's cost reports, ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team's ongoing development and progression.
  • Submit project reports to the Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a Project Manager in general construction, excavation & shoring, underground utilities, bridges, and structure below grade and at-grade.
  • Experience with structural piling or concrete work is an asset.
  • Ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations.
