Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at Railway Suppliers in Regina, SK.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Verify compliance with our purchasing and payables procedures to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  2. Match valid purchase orders to supplier invoices and post them into our payable system.
  3. Respond to and assist with vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  4. Reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  5. Prepare and compile cheques for payment.
  6. Manage multiple divisions and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  7. Process a high volume of supplier invoices in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Filing and maintaining accurate records.

Required Skills:

  • Strong Accounts Payable skills and knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
  • Basic accounting knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal sales tax rules.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Accounts Payable experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a team environment and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
