**Job Summary**
Alberta Blue Cross is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Case Management Coordinator to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Case Management Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our claims process, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve claims-related issues.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and maintain accurate and confidential claim files, ensuring all necessary documentation is up-to-date and readily available.
- Coordinate with Group Administration to enroll members in their benefits, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Communicate effectively with employers, plan members, beneficiaries, and physicians to obtain required information and resolve claims-related issues.
- Validate member information, census, salary, and eligibility information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Setup and manage tasks on claims to support intake and maintenance, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Prepare confidential correspondence for employers, members, physicians, treatment providers, lawyers, and other stakeholders.
- Update claims throughout their lifecycle in claims adjudication systems, including Access and FINEOS.
- Gather relevant documentation for case file assembly as it relates to referrals, litigation, or subrogation requests.
- Work collaboratively with Case Managers, Adjudicators, and Payment Specialists to resolve claims-related issues.
- Communicate with internal departments, including Medical Underwriting, Group Underwriting, Sales, Group Administration, and Payment team, to provide and exchange information regarding claims activities, eligibility, and financial transactions.
**Requirements**
- Related post-secondary education.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and assess priorities in a confident manner.
- Flexibility, innovation, and independence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience with database management is an advantage.
