Job Title: Controls Lead

At Brave Control Solutions Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Controls Lead to join our team. As a Controls Lead, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality custom automation solutions to our clients across various industries, including construction, automotive, food and beverage, and more.

The Controls Lead will work closely with solution and project engineers to execute assigned engineering project tasks and communicate any issues or changes back to the solutions and project management team. The day-to-day duties and responsibilities of the Controls Lead will vary depending on project and customer requirements, but may include:

  • Developing software code for PLC, Robot applications, and HMI from scratch
  • Safety Programming
  • Industrial electrical panel design and component selection
  • Testing, configuring, and integrating motion control solutions
  • Robotics and automation simulation
  • Leading debug and testing activities
  • Leading machine commissioning and start-up activities on the customer's site
  • Leading a team of specialists to complete project tasks and ensure quality standards are met

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a controls engineer or technologist
  • Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or technology diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Legally eligible to work in both Canada and the United States
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience leading teams of 2-5 people
  • Experience estimating for quotes and proposals
