Lead Controls Engineer

At Brave Control Solutions Inc., we're seeking a highly skilled Lead Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality custom automation solutions to our clients across various industries.

Working closely with solution and project engineers, you will execute assigned engineering project tasks and communicate any issues or changes back to the solutions and project management team. Your day-to-day duties will vary depending on project and customer requirements, but may include:

  • Developing software code for PLC, Robot applications, and HMI from scratch
  • Safety programming and industrial electrical panel design
  • Testing, configuring, and integrating motion control solutions
  • Robotics and automation simulation
  • Leading debug and testing activities
  • Leading machine commissioning and start-up activities on the customer's site
  • Coordinating with specialists to complete project tasks and ensure quality standards are met

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a controls engineer or technologist
  • Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or technology diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Legally eligible to work in both Canada and the United States
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Project management experience
  • Experience leading teams of 2-5 people
  • Experience estimating for quotes and proposals
