JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Overview: The Completion Operations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the installation of completion tools at various job sites. This role involves meticulous accounting, calibration, and measurement of all equipment in accordance with job specifications and well data, while ensuring that all documentation is organized and assisting clients with tool placements. The Completion Operations Specialist will also engage in customer service and sales activities, maintaining communication with clients and contributing to the growth of the customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of job preparation, tool assembly, deployment, and installation to guarantee complete customer satisfaction.
  • Identify potential issues with equipment operation and communicate effectively with clients and operational teams.
  • Ensure all necessary preparations are completed, equipment is operational, and all pre-installation checks are performed, along with accurate documentation.
  • Supervise the installation of equipment at client job sites.
  • Maintain consistent communication with client representatives at the work site.
  • Generate detailed reports of all activities at the job site before and during installation.
  • Account for, calibrate, and measure all equipment against job specifications.
  • Conduct hydraulic calculations including displacements, capacities, buoyancies, and pressures, documenting findings on schematics and reports.
  • Complete installation reports, schematics, and field tickets with precision.
  • Demonstrate availability and readiness for work during on-call rotations.
  • Assist with daily shop operations as needed.
Qualifications:
  • At least five years of experience in conventional completion and coil tools.
  • Extensive technical and practical knowledge of downhole tools, including liner hangers, packers, stage tools, and annulus casing packers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of completion tools, including operation, rebuilding, and disassembly processes.
  • Ability to evaluate wellbore conditions and anticipate potential challenges.
  • Knowledge of downhole hydraulics and its impact on tool functionality and setup.
  • Proficient in performing necessary calculations such as downhole hydraulics, displacements, and tubing movements.
  • Capable of interpreting engineering handbooks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Must reside in the designated area.
  • Must pass a physical assessment.
  • Clean driving record is required.

  • Training in personal protective equipment usage for various hazards.
  • WHMIS certification.
