Job Title: Lead Quality Control Technician

RDJ Bakeries Ltd., a renowned food manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Lead Quality Control Technician to join our quality team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor product quality, paperwork, and employee practices throughout the plant via on-the-line checks and continuous department touring.
  • Maintain technical production information issued to the production floor.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure Company quality and food safety expectations are met and understood by all team members.
  • Perform process checks throughout production, packaging, sanitation, and warehouse functions, including GMP, metal detection, label and coding verification, general hygiene, and safety.
  • Conduct in-process and finished product weights and record on Quality audit reports.
  • Oversee work performed by other QC technicians on the same shift and act as primary Quality contributor when product or process falls outside acceptable limits.
Qualifications:
  • University Degree, College, or Technical School Certificate in the science field.
  • 2-3 years of related quality control experience in the food industry.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to troubleshoot product quality/safety problems.
  • Good English reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be competent in using standard computer software packages, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • GMP & HACCP training.
Working Conditions:
  • Work indoors with compliant ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting involved.
  • May repeat the same movement.
  • Typing involved.
