Job Title: EMT Ambulance

This position is part of the Overdose Prevention Site, providing harm reduction and supervised consumption services in Lethbridge. The site is located outside of the Alpha House shelter, offering a range of evidence-based services to support prevention, harm reduction, and treatment for Albertans living with substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clients coping with addictions through case management in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide assessment, evaluation, and oversight of patient care, helping navigate clients in crisis to reduce impacts on individuals, families, and the community.
  • Work closely with other services to support and coordinate care.
  • Provide emergency service and paramedic interventions within a harm reduction model at a supervised consumption site.
  • Deliver comprehensive physical and mental health assessments, harm reduction supplies, supervised consumption clinical interventions, and education.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Primary Care Paramedic program.
  • Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as Primary Care Paramedic.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six months from the application date.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in harm reduction opioid treatment.
