About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Labourer to join our team at Mancor Industries- Royal Windsor Drive. As a Metal Fabrication Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Cleaning Solutions: Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to achieve the desired finish.
  • Assist Metal Workers: Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers in the manufacturing process.
  • Material Handling: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to ensure efficient production.
  • Grinding and Chipping: Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload vehicles with metal products.
  • Polishing: Polish metal products to a mirror finish.
  • Work Orders: Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate production.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding work environment with manual dexterity required.
  • Standing and Handling: Standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Personal Qualities and Experience
  • Dependability: Dependable and reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility: Flexible and able to adapt to changing work priorities.
  • Team Player: Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
