We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Dean Wood Construction Ltd.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for completing various tasks related to concrete finishing, including checking formwork, filling hollows, and operating power vibrators.
Responsibilities- Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it meets specifications.
- Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
- Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures as required.
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
- Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces as needed.
- Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in concrete finishing.
- Ability to work at heights, in dusty environments, and outdoors.
- Physically demanding work requiring handling heavy loads and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety.
Language and Work TermThe work language is English, and the work term is permanent.
Hours and BenefitsThe successful candidate will work 40 hours per week and will be eligible for benefits.
