About the Role:

Dean Wood Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a concrete finisher. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Fully understand and implement the required finish specifications for each project.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it is properly set.
  • Level the top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
  • Impart the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures as required.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces as needed.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.

Work Environment:

This role requires working in a dusty environment at heights, with exposure to noise and outdoors. You must be physically demanding and able to handle heavy loads.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to work at heights and in a dusty environment.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
