Job Summary:
Vail Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snow Cat Operator to join our team. As a key member of our Snow Cat Operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the exceptional snow surface quality that our guests have come to expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment used for snow/slope grooming, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Snow Cat Operations team to develop and implement effective snow surface management strategies.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to provide direction, support, and maintain good working relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Snow Cat Operations team.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of snow grooming experience, with a strong understanding of snow surface management principles.
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while operating the snowcat, as well as climb on and off frequently.
