The Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P) is a national charity committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children. Our mission is to combat the sexual abuse and exploitation of minors, assist in locating missing children, and prevent child victimization.

C3P operates Canada's national tipline for reporting online child sexual abuse and exploitation, alongside various prevention and intervention initiatives.

Position Overview

Are you seeking a role that contributes positively to the safety of children globally? The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is a national charitable organization focused on the personal safety of all children. We are currently in search of a responsible and dedicated individual to fill the role of Site Reliability Specialist.

In the capacity of Site Reliability Specialist, you will be part of a close-knit team of technology professionals, applying your expertise to a vital cause. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of existing systems, as well as enhancing and developing deployment pipelines.

Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • University degree or Technical diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
Required Proficiencies:
  • DevOps and System Administration.
  • Experience with virtualization and container technologies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (Entra/AzureAD, Exchange, InTune).
  • A strong desire to learn new technologies and stay updated.
  • A commitment to productivity and quality through automation.
  • Ability to independently learn and adopt new methods and technologies.
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in automating, orchestrating, and managing Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of distributed storage technologies.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of open-source technologies and tools.
  • Skills in IT infrastructure instrumentation and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment processes.
