Job Title: Social Work Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Work Coordinator to join our team at the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing social work services to Indigenous individuals and families, including counseling, case management, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling and case management services to Indigenous individuals and families
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to address the needs of clients
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive services to clients
  • Provide advocacy and support to clients in accessing community resources and services
  • Participate in community outreach and education activities to promote the services of the Friendship Centre
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in social work or a related field
  • Experience working with Indigenous populations and communities
  • Strong knowledge of Indigenous cultures and histories
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
