Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medicine Telemetry

About the Role:

Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Medicine Telemetry. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to create a world-class health experience for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Address and resolve issues in a productive, respectful manner.
  • Exercise sound professional judgment and use best practice guidelines.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive environment for all through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • 1 year of recent acute med/surg experience.
  • Coronary Care Level 1 certificate from a recognized institution or commitment to successfully complete within six (6) months of hire.
  • Coronary Care Level 2 certificate from a recognized institution or commitment to successfully complete within one (1) year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an approved nursing program.
  • Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Member of the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)/Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
  • Experience working with adult and geriatric populations.
  • A minimum of 1 year recent nursing experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting within the past 3 years.
  • Experience in Telemetry, Coronary Care or Intensive Care.
