Senior Financial Analyst Job Description

Mier Human Capital is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in providing financial leadership and support to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial support and leadership to sales and management teams
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Develop and maintain financial models and reports to support business decision-making
  • Collaborate with the controller to develop and implement financial forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Own responsibility for consolidated P&L reporting and analysis, including revenue, margin, and SG&A
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Perform month-end general ledger reconciliation and analysis
  • Monitor and control key performance indicators, including accounts receivable, inventory, and headcount
  • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support business stakeholders
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in a distribution environment
  • Completed post-secondary degree in business or accounting and finance
  • CPA or CMA designation is an asset
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as AS400 or SAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
