Warehouse Receiving Specialist

Overview:

As a key member of the Back Room Department, the Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in the backend operations of our retail environment. This position involves managing the receiving process, overseeing inventory management, and ensuring the organization of stock within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently receive and process shipments arriving at the facility.
  • Conduct thorough physical counts of incoming packages and reconcile with packing slips.
  • Facilitate the transfer of stock from the back room to the sales floor.
  • Engage in tasks such as folding, repackaging, sorting, and re-hanging of newly received merchandise.
  • Perform replenishment duties across all departments, ensuring products are properly displayed.
  • Carry out regular floor checks, which include cleaning, updating pricing and signage, verifying inventory levels, and ensuring security measures are in place.
  • Assist in the purging of merchandise when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain accuracy in all tasks.
  • Customer service-oriented with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Effective communication skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle merchandise boxes.
  • Steel-toed work boots are mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain a PAL license is necessary.
