Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of production staff, ensuring the timely completion of individual performance reviews, and developing goals to maximize staff potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of production staff to achieve excellent results on each shift.
- Ensure that the roles and responsibilities of each team member are clear and well-defined.
- Coach and develop staff to promote a customer-first attitude and provide excellent customer service.
- Provide technical input into the creation of technical documents such as Standard Work Instructions, Process Procedure Sheets, and troubleshooting manuals.
- Work with the Manager, Senior Supervisor, and technical lead to develop and implement improvements to achieve departmental results and objectives.
- Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality, and quality.
- Maintain the required hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor.
- Ensure a clean and safe work area.
- Complete necessary paperwork.
- Provide back-up to the Senior Supervisor during vacation periods or other periods of absence.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preference will be given to candidates who possess post-secondary education in business, food science, or technical trades or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of related experience within the food manufacturing sector would be preferred.
- The willingness to adapt to multiple priorities.
- Practical experience in operating most production lines within the facility.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
