Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2467980 Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and preparing budget and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including food service counter attendants and food preparers.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure that they are aware of the establishment's culinary genres.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Hire food service staff and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including food order summaries for the chef.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and ensure that the work environment is safe and healthy.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physical demands. The work environment will be physically demanding, with tight deadlines and a high level of pressure.
