About the Role:

As a Long-term Care Attendant with Interior Health Authority, you will be an integral part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team providing care and support in a long-term care setting.

Working under the direction of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses, you will have key responsibilities in the individual care plan for each patient, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are supported, while promoting maximum independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and related equipment
  • Perform nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment through housekeeping activities
  • Observe and report changes in patient behavior and condition
  • Accompany clients on outings and during social activities
  • Perform clerical duties and delegated tasks

This is a relief part-time opportunity until the return of the incumbent. Shifts of work will be scheduled days and evenings, rotating from 07:00 to 13:00, 15:00 to 21:30 hours.
