About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Development Specialist to join our team at The North Transportation. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing human resources policies and programs that support the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development and Implementation

Develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs that align with the company's strategic objectives.

Staff Training and Development

Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff, with a focus on improving performance and productivity.

Performance Management

Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs to ensure that staff are meeting their performance goals and objectives.

Training and Development Strategies

Develop and implement training and development strategies that support the growth and development of our staff.

Staff Supervision and Management

Hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their job duties effectively.

Employee Consultation and Grievance Procedures

Organize and facilitate employee consultation and grievance procedures to ensure that staff concerns are heard and addressed.

Recruitment and Hiring

Recruit and hire staff to fill vacant positions, with a focus on finding the best candidates for the job.

Coaching and Mentoring

Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to help them develop their skills and knowledge and achieve their career goals.

Process Improvement

Propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR processes.

Requirements
  • Education

College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently, with tight deadlines, and with attention to detail.

Personal Qualities

Organized, team player, accountable, and bondable.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

English.
